Volunteering with 139

Want to be a 139 Volunteer?

139 is in need of volunteers for the following programs:

  • TMC Kids
  • Co-Laborers Community (Adults with IDD Discipleship Class)
  • Friends Night (Special Events/Community Outreach)
  • Braille Transcription
  • Access Ministry

In order to serve in these ministries, we ask that all of our volunteers attend a 139 Buddy Training to learn about what to expect and how to assist a person with disabilities. Sign up today to take the next step.

The Role of a 139 Buddy is to come along side an adult or child with cognitive and/or intellectual disabilities to help them in their TMC Community, Kids Church, or during a church service so that they can use their spiritual gifts, hear the good news of Jesus Christ, and be able to share this good news with each other, the body of Christ, and the lost.

If you’d like more information or to begin the volunteer process, please fill out the form below. We’ll be in touch with more details.

Training Videos

So… you’re wanting to serve with 139 Friends? We are so glad!

With Co-Laborers, TMC Kids, and Family Fun Nights there are so many ways to serve as a buddy. We ask that all volunteers watch the following videos, this should take approximately 30-45 minutes of your time, and will surely be of great spiritual and practical benefit to you during your time serving with us and as you interact with those who have disabilities in the body of Christ.
