“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” ~1 Peter 4:10
In Fusion, people of all ages and backgrounds come together to pursue spiritual maturity, biblical diversity, and genuine community. Our ministries are designed to help you connect with others, whether in fellowship, in prayer, or in service.
Our Prayer Team is dedicated to praying for you, while our Connection Team is here to help you find a place to fit in.
Our Welcome Team, Breakthrough Women’s Outreach, and Psalm 9:9 Homeless Ministry provide opportunities for you to “give back” in service—whether you want to serve in our class or to reach out to the homeless in our city, we have a place for you.
“For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.” ~ Psalm 9:18
On the first Friday evening of each month, a Fusion team heads to the west side to volunteer at the Breakthrough Women’s Center.
Our team, led by Hazel Bent, is one of several who give their time to minister to the women who live there. Our volunteers provide a meal (using high-quality, fresh ingredients – something the women especially appreciate), a craft or activity, and a message from the Word of God. It’s a wonderful way of reaching out to these women who have been grievously mistreated, in order to show them the love of Christ.
Breakthrough Urban Ministries needs volunteers in many areas in addition to the Women’s Center – including after-school tutoring, basic computer training, help at their men’s shelter, and more. If you feel led to get involved in some way, use the contact form below to let us know you’re interested (be sure to specify that you’re interested in the Breakthrough Women’s Outreach).
“The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” ~Psalm 9:9
Our Psalm 9:9 Homeless Ministry ministry reaches out to the homeless in Chicago by providing food and clothing to anyone in need. We collect items in Fusion each month, then go every fourth Saturday to the Thompson Center at Clark and Randolph to distribute the collected items along with food and other materials.
D’Athlone Brown coordinates Psalm 9:9, heading up several teams of volunteers and determining what items are most needed by the homeless men and women we serve. We’re always in need of your support, whether it’s through donations, volunteering, or keeping the ministry in prayer! If you feel led to get involved in some way, use the contact form below to let us know you’re interested (be sure to specify that you’re interested in Psalm 9:9).

“In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.” ~ Psalm 120:1
Prayer is a vital part of Fusion’s ministry, as we lift up each other’s needs before the Lord. Our prayer team, led by Scott and Susan Pratt, dedicates time each day to praying for the many requests that we receive.
If you have a prayer request or praise, we hope you’ll share it with us. Click here to submit your prayer requests and praises using our secure online form.
“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” ~ Romans 15:5-7
Our Welcome Team is a group of volunteers who desire to make everyone who comes into Fusion feel welcomed and comfortable. From our greeters and doorkeepers, to our coffee providers, to our setup and cleanup crews, our team serves the Fusion family with a smile.
Whether you’d prefer to be part of a Sunday team one week a month, or you’d like to help at some of our Fellowship Events, we’ve got a place for you. To sign up or to get more information, fill out the contact form below and mention that you’re interested in the Welcome Team. Someone will get back to you soon!
