Hello Chorus Parents!
I’m very sorry if I’ve left you with questions for this coming week, but I hope this email will clear up anything that might still be lingering.
The costumes are READY. There was a wonderful group of people here at the church Monday-Thursday working hard to create each costume and let me tell you, they are so fun!
What to wear underneath:
- Townspeople, Shepherds & Wisemen: leggings or sweatpants and a plain t-shirt or long-sleeved shirt. The costumes are mostly made of cotton so they should be breathable, but wearing a different material underneath such as a sports shirt would help the costume not to stick to their clothes when they are moving around.
- Angels: white or tan shirt and bottom, even white tights would work but they should still wear shorts or a skirt over the tights.
- Angel Band Boys: I have white shirts and pants for them. Please have them just wear a plain white t-shirt. They will also have a tunic so they will wear their white clothes underneath the tunic until the angel band song.
- Sheep: I’ve sent a previous email, but black leggings or sweatpants and white shirt. I have the other costume pieces. Beatrice wears a girly colored shirt, not white.
- Everyone can wear summer sandals or bare feet.
Here is a list of costume assignments so you can see which category your child is in.
On Wednesday, will have rehearsal from 5:30-6:25 with the full choir and from 6:30-8:00 with the Large speaking roles. I will keep Mary, Joseph, Wisemen, Angels, and Angel Band for a few minutes at 6:30 and then send them to AWANA to finish the evening.
On Saturday, we will have rehearsal from 8:30-9:30am with the large speaking roles, and 9:30am-12:30pm with the whole choir. There will be no costumes for Saturday so the kids can wear normal clothes.
It will be best if the kids leave their costumes at the church between rehearsals and just wear what they need to underneath for Wednesday and Sunday. We will have all the costumes labeled and ready to go for them both days.
I believe that is all for now. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
See you on Wednesday!
Elsa
