Today and next Sunday many of us will “Gather Live” and see each other face-to-face for the first time in many months. We’ll be outside, socially-distanced and wearing masks, but we’ll be together. For many of us it will be a precious reunion. For me it will be the first time I’ve actually seen some of your faces. I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to being with you!
When Krista and I said “yes” to your invitation to be your pastor, we knew less than fifty people in total. We had met the search committee, the Elders, and a handful of staff—but that was it! We estimate we’ve now met around two hundred people in our new church family so far. What an odd time we live in! I’ve sometimes joked, “Now, there is a congregation, right?!?”
But all this is about to change. Faith is about to become sight. And we will see each other face-to-face. See you soon!
