I forgot to mention something important in my email last night! Our musical has many opportunities for solos and if your child would like to be considered for a solo, I’d love to hear them sing before or after our upcoming rehearsals. Any child in Children’s Chorus can try out for a solo, there are no grade restrictions. We will sing through a bunch of the songs in the musical to determine range, pitch, and style, so listening to the CD or downloaded tracks will definitely help them be prepared!
I will listen to the kids before or after rehearsal in the next month or so beginning today and including this Sunday. I’ll communicate the list of soloists once I’ve heard everyone who is interested.
