Well, we’re going back to school!
For several years now, Krista and I have been thinking and praying about continuing our education. We love school. We met in college at Cedarville University. Our early married days were spent side-by-side getting theological education at Dallas Theological Seminary. And now we get to do it again.
This week we have been at an intensive week-long series of classes in a Doctor of Ministry cohort at Wheaton College, focused on the particular challenges facing large evangelical churches in the 21st century. It has been eye-opening, life-giving, and abundantly challenging. And it’s been exactly what we’ve needed. We are praying that God would use this program to advance His kingdom and prepare us to minister well in the days that lie ahead.
There’s a whole team of people surrounding us to make this possible. Our parents are investing time with their grandchildren while we study. The Elders have been wonderfully supportive. Our amazing team here at the church have encouraged us along the way. And so many of you have been kindly cheering us along. We’re so grateful for our Moody Church family.
Today Krista and I are joining you online from Ohio as we retrieve our children and help my parents get settled into their new home. I’m looking forward to hearing Pastor Eric Targe open God’s Word for us. I know we will be abundantly blessed as the Lord speaks through him this morning. Let’s lean in and have ears to hear.
Because we are loved, more than we know!
Wonderful!!!!
And love these pictures of you two!
