We’re just days away from the end of our fiscal year on August 31 and our $300 per household summer giving challenge. I want to thank those of you who have stepped up and joined us in this challenge. I’ve been so encouraged by the comments, calls, and notes you’ve written, expressing your commitment to the work of the ministry here at The Moody Church. We truly are a family. And families pitch in together. Thank you for responding with generosity and faithfulness!
For some of you, this is a good time to remind you that it’s not too late to participate! Your generosity will help us finish this fiscal year in strength so we can move forward with boldness into an exciting new year of ministry opportunities. We’re looking forward to onboarding pastors for our College and Young Professionals ministries, expanding our Christmas outreach, and learning as a people what it means to grow in love as we give ourselves away through service. It’s an exciting time to be a part of The Moody Church. And we thank you in advance for your partnership.
Because we are indeed loved, more than we know!
Not too long ago a man taught a Dave Ramsey class on Sunday afternoon. Another man stood in front of the congregation and told us not to use credit cards. Maybe people had so much credit card debt that they did not have money to give to the church. With a debit card, if the money is gone, the card will not give money. We also had a class for women, taught by one of our women, about how to handle money. It might have been from Crown Financial.
