Would you join me in praying for our city as the DNC convention begins this week? Politics always seems to bring out the worst in people. I’m praying that the Lord would bring His peace that passes all understanding into our city during these coming days. Amidst all the passion, frustrations, and uncertainties we face, may it be God’s protection that reigns in Chicago. No matter what, we know that our God is on the throne. He is our refuge and strength in times of trouble. So we look to Him, asking for His will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Today we have the privilege of hearing from our very own Pastor Larry McCarthy Jr. as he opens God’s Word for us. I’m grateful for Larry’s pastoral heart and passionate exposition. I always learn a great deal from him, and I know you’ll be both inspired and touched by his message. So let’s lean in and ask the Lord to feed our souls from the riches of His Word to us.
