Dear Moody Church Family,
I pray that your Resurrection Sunday was incredibly blessed! I am so inspired and thankful for the wonderful service that our team puts together each year. The music, the teaching, and the full sanctuary create an overwhelming sense of the Lord’s presence. It is a highlight of the season.
Another part of this season that I look forward to is our annual Redemption Project. Each year, through a special offering, we partner with a trusted ministry that is sharing the Gospel in tangible ways to their community. Past projects have included providing wheelchairs in Africa (Living with Hope), church-planting and evangelism in Albania (Hands of Providence), and house church outreach in Cambodia (World Relief). This year, our recipient is Call of Hope in Lebanon. Call of Hope equips and supports former Muslims who are ministering in their cities and countries of origin.
Our Call of Hope partner in Lebanon, Mohammed, very nearly joined ISIS before a friend introduced him to the saving grace of Jesus. Now Mohammed is serving as a pastor and reaching his neighbors with the Gospel. Mohammed’s church provides care packages to Syrian refugees and local Lebanese people in need. Because of the church’s great witness, their small building is bursting at the seams almost every day of the week with worship services, small groups, children’s programming, and other gatherings. The church has purchased property nearby but needs additional funds to build. Our offering will provide funds to continue their outreach work and support construction of their new facilities.
