Dear Moody Church Family,
As we look forward to Resurrection Sunday, I am so thankful for the wonderful worship service our team puts together each year. The music, the preaching, and the full sanctuary create an overwhelming sense of the Lord’s presence. It is a highlight of the season and always a great reminder that our King is alive, He reigns, and is active in the world today.
Each year following Resurrection Sunday, through our Redemption Project, we partner with a trusted ministry that is sharing the Gospel in tangible ways to their community. Past projects have included providing wheelchairs in Africa (Living with Hope), church-planting and evangelism in Albania (Hands of Providence), and providing relief to refugees through Call of Hope in Lebanon. This year, our recipient is Church Planting & Development East (CPDE).
Founded in Egypt over 20 years ago, CPDE supports and trains leaders from over 20,000 house churches across the Middle East. CPDE is seeing many people come to faith, but one of the limitations on church growth is enough well-trained disciplers to lead house churches and help new believers mature in their faith. Our gift will help train disciples who can make disciples and will also help complete a training center in Turkey—where it is safe for people all across the Middle East to travel, gather, and learn about Jesus. It is exciting to see how God is transforming lives in the Middle East and we get to be a part of it!
