Dear Moody Church Family,
And the angel said to the shepherds who were keeping watch over their flocks by night: “Fear not, for I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people” (Luke 2:10). Does this good news bring you great joy this Christmas season? I hope so!
Paul would later affirm this declaration of the angels: “This same good news that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace” (Col 1:6).
At The Moody Church, we exist to proclaim this good news of great joy in Chicago and around the world. And this good news continues to this day to bear fruit everywhere by changing lives! We host many special events and services during December that are designed to welcome family and friends who may not regularly attend church. Who are you planning to invite? Check out the website for our holiday schedule: www.moodychurch.org/advent.
All our ministry is possible because of your faithful and generous giving. Thank you for coming alongside what the Lord is doing in Chicago and around the world through the ministry of The Moody Church! May we continue to serve our King faithfully with our time, talent, and treasure.
Lastly, many of us make year-end gifts to ministries that we believe are making a positive impact in our world. As you review your year-end plans, would you prayerfully consider a special gift to The Moody Church? The following information can help ensure that any gift (either to the general fund or a designated fund) qualifies as a 2023 tax-deductible donation with the IRS:
- By Mail: must be postmarked by December 31
- Online: must be made before midnight on December 31
- In Person: must be dropped off at the church office by 1:00pm on Friday, December 29
Merry Christmas!
