One of my great joys over the past couple years has been to serve in our AWANA program on Wednesday evenings with our Sparks. It’s such an encouragement to be a part of such an impactful ministry. There are three things in particular that stand out.
First, it’s amazing how hard our kids work during the week to memorize God‘s Word. I sat with one young guy last week as he recited over twenty verses with nearly perfect recall. These kids are serious about memorizing the Scriptures!
Second, we have exceptionally dedicated volunteers. It’s inspiring to see the level of commitment and excellence of our servant leaders. They truly love our kids and are faithfully pointing them to Jesus.
Third, I’m reminded of the power of God‘s Word. It is living and active, sharp and dynamic, inspired and inspiring. The Word hidden in each of these little hearts will not return void, but will bear enduring influence for many years to come.
And this is just a little glimpse of one of the many ministries that takes place as hundreds of Moody Church members choose to grow in love through service each week. Thank you for serving. Thank you for making a difference. Thank you for investing for eternity!
