Dear Moody Church Family,
Our Global Outreach Ministry financially supports 49 active and retired missionary households in dozens of countries. Through our Key Global Initiatives (KGI) strategy, we have nine partners across the globe in places we can’t easily reach. Our intention is to strengthen local churches and plant new ones. We also have eight Hope for Kids partners who bring hope and healing to thousands of children both here in Chicago and around the world. For more information on our strategy and partners visit www.moodychurch.org/global-outreach.
There is plenty of turmoil, pain, and fear in today’s world, but the Lord’s people are everywhere—being the hands and feet of Christ in the darkest and most difficult places. One example from our KGI partners is Church Planting & Development East (CPDE). CPDE oversees a house church movement in several Middle Eastern countries. Syria and Iran are two places where the number of Christians seeking discipleship and home fellowships exceeds CPDE’s ability to train enough leaders. We are working with them to close this gap. We’ll share more about CPDE as part of this spring’s Redemption Project.
Would you like to hear more about what the Lord is doing around the world through your gifts to
The Moody Church? Email us at missions@moodychurch.org and ask to receive the missionary
prayer letters. Can I challenge you to spend just one hour a month—the length of a single TV
program—reading these letters? These updates are regular reminders that Jesus reigns and His perfect plan is unfolding all around us! You won’t regret it.
Annual support to our Global Outreach partners exceeds $1 million. Your faithful stewardship is
having an incredible impact by enabling believers called to serve the kingdom in a full-time capacity to use their gifts to equip the Church. Thank you for your faithfulness as we obey and celebrate the Great Commission together!
Finally, mark your calendar: Global Outreach Week will be June 1–8. Stay tuned for details as the time nears.
Together,
Bill Van Tuinen
Pastor of Global Outreach and Stewardship
