As the school year begins and teachers and students head back to the classroom, it’s a good time to bathe the year ahead in our prayers:
“Lord, be with our students as they enter a new year of learning. Give them wisdom to discern the truth, courage to live with integrity, kindness to love others, and faithfulness to live as followers of Jesus. Protect them, keep them, uphold them, we pray.”
“Lord, be with our teachers, professors, para-educators, and administrators as they shoulder the noble task of guiding our young people into the future. Give them diligence, patience, and strength for their calling. Guide them, protect them, provide for them, we pray.”
“Lord, be with our parents, grandparents, and guardians as they entrust their beloved ones to this next year of learning. Give them comfort, peace, and fortitude. Encourage them, strengthen them, secure them, we pray.”
“We pray all these things in Jesus’ name, in whom we are loved, more than we know. Amen.”
