I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family this past week!
Today we turn the page to Advent and the season of Christmas. There’s a lot going on at The Moody Church in the next few weeks. Here are some of the highlights:
Advent Sermon Series—The Coming King: During the Advent season, we’ll be tracking with the Christmas story as we study the first two chapters of the Gospel of Matthew. We’ll see how Jesus is The Coming King, not only for the world, but for each of our lives as well. He’s the one who redeems our stories, fulfills our lives, and enables us to live life abundantly. Jesus is the Hero we’ve all been waiting for.
Christmas Concert: This event is the highlight of our Christmas season. Our Choir and Orchestra perform classic carols and holiday favorites; and our sanctuary is stunning with dramatic lighting. Free tickets are available on our website!
Special Services: On December 18, our Children’s Choir performs an uplifting Christmas play that shares the true meaning of Christmas. Then on Christmas Eve, join us for a simple and beautiful service where we celebrate the birth of Jesus and fill the sanctuary with candlelight.
Christmas Day: We have a unique opportunity this year to focus in on the message of Christmas as the holiday falls on a Sunday. We’re going to have a kid-friendly, casual worship service together as a church family on Christmas morning. So, open those stockings and presents and then come join us (kids can wear their jammies!) for a warm and festive morning together! My family and I are already looking forward to spending this Christmas with our Moody Church family!
