Whether you are brand new to following Jesus or have been following Him most of your life, we hope this four-week series The Journey of a Lifetime will help you along your way. Each week we’ll focus on one of the four stages of the journey in the sermon, in our Communities, and in the daily devotional guide. Here’s a quick overview of the four stages that make up The Journey of a Lifetime:
KNOW GOD – Jesus came from Heaven to Earth to make God known. He initiates relationship with us and calls us to be his disciples. In Jesus we can know God as He truly is. And when we know God, we come alive in worship. Jesus is inviting you to know God through worship.
FEED YOUR SOUL – Following Jesus is a life-transforming journey that takes place in community. Jesus is creating a community of disciples who will together learn how to look to Jesus for the nourishment of their souls and share His love with one another. Jesus is inviting you to feed your soul through community.
GROW IN LOVE – Jesus says that if we follow Him, He will make us into a new kind of person. Jesus intends to make us like Himself. Jesus came to serve and give Himself away for others, and He invites us to grow in love as we give ourselves away as well. We are most fulfilled when we live for others. Jesus is inviting you to grow in love through service.
CHANGE YOUR WORLD – Jesus is calling us to join Him in His rescue mission of bringing abundant life to the people around us. If you want to really change your world for eternity, there’s no greater opportunity than to join what Jesus is doing to redeem the world and renew people’s lives. Jesus is inviting you to change your world through mission.
So let’s follow Jesus on The Journey of a Lifetime. Because we are loved, more than we know!
