We’re jumping back into our series through the Gospel of Luke this Sunday. Ever since Luke 9:51, where Jesus set His face toward Jerusalem, we’ve been following along with Jesus as He moves inexorably toward His destiny. In this section of Luke, we see rising tensions with the religious leaders, a growing sense of urgency to personally respond to Jesus, and meaningful moments shared between the disciples and their Teacher. On this road to Jerusalem, Jesus increasingly unveils what it truly means to follow Him faithfully through thick and thin. The disciples are learning the Way of Jesus. They’re preparing for their calling to go His witnesses to the ends of the earth.

Two-thousand years later, Jesus is still teaching us what it means to faithfully follow Him through thick and thin. The world is still a scary place. And we are still sent to be Jesus’ witnesses to the ends of the earth. We need Jesus to show us the way. So in this fifth part in our series through Luke, let’s lean in and discover The Way of Jesus.

For we are loved, more than we know!
